Common questions from customers and technical teams

What exactly does CerpTotalSolution include?

CerpTotalSolution is the complete CERP product: a multi-tenant SaaS backend, a Windows agent for the store and its hardware, the Android CerpServer for local/offline service, and a Flutter front end for Windows, Android and the web. CERP is therefore not just simple accounting software; it is a complete ecosystem for sales, inventory, finance, equipment, reporting and integration.

How does the SaaS backend differ from the local and offline service?

The SaaS backend is the central home of data, tenants, users, permissions, sales, inventory and reports. The local/offline service covers scenarios where the store must work with card terminals, printers, barcode scanners, scales or real-time operations, and where not everything should depend on a browser or the internet.

What role does WinCerpAgent play in the store?

On Windows, WinCerpAgent bridges CERP and in-store equipment: PC-POS card terminals, receipt printers, OPOS, caller ID, live scale weight, a local WebSocket and temporary transaction holds. This layer lets the front end talk to local equipment in a controlled way.

When is the Android CerpServer used?

The Android CerpServer is used when an Android device needs its own local service. It is installed on the same device and uses Intent actions to list card terminals, send payments and print — for example POS_LIST, POS_PAYMENT, POS_PRINT_BY_BITMAP and POS_PRINT_BY_STRING.

How is a card terminal connected on Android?

First the list of card terminals is fetched from CerpServer and values such as providerKey and cardReaderNumber are stored. The payment is then sent with the providerKey, terminal number and amount. A payment is recorded only when its success result has been confirmed; the reference number, the raw service response and the data needed for the receipt are also kept for troubleshooting.

How does the front end talk to the agent on Windows?

On Windows, the Flutter front end connects to CerpAgent over WebSocket. The connection carries streams for connection status, barcodes, reports, POS devices, payment events, the printer list and scale weight. It also has reconnection and a message queue so that commands stay under control through brief disconnections.

What does CERP offer for the register and sales?

The sales layer includes entities and permissions such as Transaction, TransactionEntry, Tender, TenderEntry, Batch, Register, Quickpad, QuickpadTemplate, TransactionHold, PaymentAuthorization, PaperlessTransaction and RFID. This structure is designed for counter sales, payments, shift reports, holding/recalling transactions and retail scenarios.

What do the item and inventory modules cover?

Inventory and items include structures such as Item, Category, ItemStyle, ItemAttribute, Location, Shelf, Supplier, PurchaseOrder, ItemReceipt, ItemRefund, Serial, PhysicalInventory, PriceAnnouncement and InventoryTransferLog, covering item definition, suppliers, purchasing, receipts, returns, serials, shelves and pricing.

Is CERP suitable for restaurants, food service and kiosks?

Yes. The source includes modules such as ChefScreen, ItemKitchenPrinter, RestaurantPlan, RestaurantArea, RestaurantTable, DigitalMenuOrder and BonScenario. Combined with card terminals, printing and the Agent/CerpServer, they make CERP suitable for restaurants, food courts, kiosks and quick-service sales.

What do accounting, treasury and the fiscal year cover?

The financial side includes structures such as JournalVoucherHeader/Detail, Cheque, GeneralLedger, GroupLedger, DetailLedger, SubLedger, FiscalYear, CostAndProfitMapping and sending batches to accounting, so sales and store operations can be linked to financial documents and reports.

Can invoices be sent to the tax e-invoicing system?

Yes. The CERP backend has a Moadian (Iranian tax e-invoicing) service that maps sales transactions to tax invoices, submits them and checks their status. Filters work at company, store and register level, and statuses such as not sent, sent, approved, rejected and under review are supported.

How are branches, users and access levels managed?

The backend is built on ABP / ASP.NET Zero with a multi-tenant structure. Roles, users, permissions, tenants, admin settings, reports, the dashboard, auditing and separate permissions for each module are defined so that every organisation can manage access precisely.

How does CERP connect to AI tools and MCP?

CERP has a tenant-scoped MCP endpoint. A tenant administrator can define a secure connection, set its access level and disable or regenerate it when needed. MCP tools for tasks such as reading and managing items, prices, suppliers, dashboard reports, purchase and accounting documents, and rebuilding the item ledger run only within that access level.

Are office automation, projects and a form builder included?

Yes. The source includes a Workflow/Form Builder, Kanban, Office Automation and Project Management — covering process and form definitions, a task inbox, correspondence, meetings, actions, projects, WBS, task dependencies, milestones and a Gantt view.

Are time and attendance and human resources covered?

TimeAttendance and HR/Payroll modules are part of the structure, including attendance devices, entry logs, device users, device operations, employee contracts, payslips, payroll settings, work shifts and timesheet entry.

What should I do if the card terminal fails or the connection drops?

On Android, if CerpServer is not installed or its Activity does not open, a service-unavailable error is returned. For payments, success is judged by the confirmed result of the payment itself, not merely by returning to the screen. On Windows the Agent validates the terminal code, device number, whether the device is active and the provider; keep the message, the raw service response and the reference codes for troubleshooting.

Ready to choose the right deployment path?

Tell us your store scenario, number of branches, card terminal/printer/scale equipment, offline needs and the reports you expect, and we will recommend SaaS, the Windows Agent, the Android CerpServer or a hybrid model.
